Disclaimer

This disclaimer governs how the information on this website should be read. In short: everything on maxicom.ca is general information, is indicative only, applies on a per-engagement basis, and is confirmed only in a signed agreement. Nothing on this site is a binding offer, a warranty, or professional advice, and it may not hold true in every jurisdiction or for your specific circumstances.

Information is general and indicative

The content on this website is provided for general information about Maxicom Inc. and its IT asset disposition (ITAD), buyback, data-destruction and related services. It may be incomplete, generalised, or out of date, and it is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, regulatory, or technical advice.

You should not act, or refrain from acting, in reliance on anything on this site without obtaining specific written confirmation from Maxicom Inc. for your situation.

Statements are project-specific

Descriptions of our services, methods, standards, timelines, capabilities, sanitisation techniques, reporting, and compliance alignment are illustrative and vary by engagement. What Maxicom Inc. actually does for any given project is defined solely by the Statement of Work (SOW) and related agreements signed for that project.

Website content does not create any obligation, representation, warranty, or contract. Examples, scenarios, and typical figures shown are for illustration only and describe how such engagements can work — not a commitment to any specific outcome, price, or timeline.

Confirm under NDA and in writing

Engagement specifics — including sanitisation methods, sub-processors and licensed-recycler partners, evidence packs, sample certificates, pricing, indemnity, insurance, and record-retention — are confirmed on a per-engagement basis, on request, and where appropriate under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

If you intend to rely on any point stated on this site, please reconfirm it directly with Maxicom Inc. in writing before acting. Where an NDA is required for the specifics of your engagement, those details govern over anything published here.

Standards and regulatory alignment

Maxicom Inc. aligns its work to recognised standards (for example NIST SP 800-88, IEEE 2883-2022, and DoD 5220.22-M where contractually specified) and to Canadian regulatory frameworks (for example PIPEDA, OSFI Guideline B-13, Quebec Law 25, Alberta and BC PIPA, PHIPA, and ITSG-33). “Aligned to” means we design our process and documentation to support these frameworks; it does not mean we hold a certification unless we have expressly stated we do.

Whether our process meets your particular regulatory obligations must be confirmed for each engagement. Responsibility for your own data, regulatory duties, and compliance decisions remains with you.

Valuations, prices and figures

All prices, valuations, residual-value estimates, percentages, savings, and timelines shown anywhere on this site are indicative, provided for general guidance, and confirmed only on inspection and in the SOW. Actual figures depend on asset mix, condition, market conditions, and the terms agreed for your engagement, and will differ.

No warranty; the signed agreement prevails

This website and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy or completeness. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maxicom Inc. accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on website content.

Where anything on this website conflicts with a signed agreement between you and Maxicom Inc., the signed agreement governs and prevails.

Jurisdiction — content may not apply everywhere

This site is written primarily for engagements in Canada. Laws, standards, regulatory requirements, and market practices differ by jurisdiction and change over time, so the information here may not be accurate or applicable outside Canada, or for your specific circumstances or engagement.

This disclaimer and your use of this website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
